We used the writings of Ernest Shackleton himself and pulled them together to create a compelling monologue to drive the story arc of the film. The script is comprised of lines taken from across all of Shackleton’s writings, spanning 1909 to 1922, and recontextualising them together in a ‘letter’ to the people of today.
The viewer is given a hint at the beginning of the film as to when the words were written, but the iconic author is only revealed at the very end.
For the supporting product campaign, we worked with esteemed photographer Steve Harries to capture a series of honest, character-driven portraits of our three protagonists.
